Although plant-based diets are increasing in popularity, they have been a mainstay of numerous cultural eating patterns across the globe. This webinar defines the characteristics of predominantly plant-based traditional eating patterns across the world and explores their implications for health. It concludes with a discussion on how registered dietitian nutritionists can leverage the growing diversity of plant foods to promote health equity while reversing chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.
